"Bayside" by Lawrence Baker

"Bayside" painted in 1985 by Lawrence Baker is a common scene this time of year on the coast of Maine.  Lobstermen are getting their boats and gear ready for this year's fishing season.  The low tide in the cove allows the man easy access to his stern so his sanding and varnishing can be completed.  You can see the detail in this painting quite easily - the strands of seaweed clinging to the rocks, the reflection of the piers in the water, and even the different wind currents on the surface.   This painting is available in print through our affiliate, American Frame, for less than $50!
